HMRC declare some change to tax returns

Self assessment tax return taxpayers will get interchanges from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) electronically, as opposed to by letter.

Under paper less accountants or Self Assessment (SA) they will no longer get programmed paper returns, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has declared.

Blank copies of self-assessment returns will never again be sent consequently, as a component of paper-saving measures and moves to urge individuals to utilize HMRC's online services.
The administration division indicated that the change doesn't restrict citizens documenting a paper return if they despite everything need to, even though it said the individuals who can submit online will be urged to do as such.

A year ago, HMRC automatically conveyed more than 500,000 returns. More than nine out of 10 (94%) of its clients recorded their self assessment tax return online.

From April, rather than consequently accepting a paper return, citizens who have documented on paper in the past will currently get a short notification to submit. This will advise citizens that the taxman means to speak with them carefully.

If they despite everything need to record on paper they can download a clear form of the return or call HMRC to demand one.

Where HMRC can distinguish citizens whose individual conditions mean they can't submit online, they will keep on getting a clear paper return.
